Paint the Town Raises $118,000 for Emmett’s Place

Support from our community and staff is vital in supporting Emmett’s Place, located just steps away from the Miami Valley Hospital NICU. Emmett’s Place is an area of respite and hospitality for the immediate family members of newborn infants who are hospitalized in the NICU, and for hospitalized pregnant women and their families experiencing a longer than usual hospitalization.

At a recent Miami Valley Hospital Foundation board meeting, Foundation board chair Greg Robinson and Emmett’s Place Paint the Town chair Emily Sorenson presented Barbara Johnson, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Premier Health; and interim president of Miami Valley Hospital, with a check totaling $118,000 from funds raised at the Emmett’s Place Paint the Town event that occurred in November 2022.

Community contributions through the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation are vital in keeping Emmett’s Place available for our NICU infants and their families. We are so appreciative of the supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who made Emmett’s Place Paint the Town so successful.
