Champions of Hope
Plan to Attend Champions of Hope on September 11, 2018
Champions of Hope, an inspiring and uplifting recognition ceremony saluting four inspiring individuals for their achievements in the battle against cancer, is scheduled for the evening of September 11, 2018.
New this year, the event will be held at the Dayton Steam Plant
- Survivor Honoree – William “Brad” Flora: An individual who has battled cancer, is noted for giving back to others, and has inspired hope and determination in others battling the disease.
- Medical Professional Honoree – James Ouellette, DO, FACS: An individual from Miami Valley Hospital who has made contributions to the field over and above their professional responsibilities. A clinician who has touched the lives of one or more cancer patients.
- Cancer Caregiver Honoree – Phil Hartke: An individual who has made a difference in the lives of cancer patients through self-sacrifice and unwavering optimism and support.
- People of Inspiration Honoree – The Clemens Family: A person or persons who has reached out or advocated for others in the fight against cancer in a meaningful, impactful way. A special person whose example truly inspires others to continue through their own struggles with the disease.
The honorees will be introduced through video profiles followed by an award presentation and brief remarks from each recipient. The event will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages.
