Giving Strings Supports Emmett’s Place at Miami Valley Hospital

Emmett’s Place is honored to be the beneficiary of Oakwood High School’s Giving Strings orchestra benefit concert. Your donation or sponsorship helps provide a space of comfort and care for families with newborns in Miami Valley Hospital’s Neonatal ICU, as well as for pregnant women facing extended hospital stays. Emmett’s Place is 100% donor-funded, and offers families a welcoming environment to be together during challenging times, easing the stress of balancing home, school, and work while caring for their newborn.

About Giving Strings

Since 2000, Oakwood High School’s Giving Strings has been a student-organized annual string orchestra benefit concert dedicated to supporting local charities. Each year, students select a charity to support, and musicians prepare throughout the summer for this heartfelt performance. The free August concert features a silent auction with items donated by local businesses, with 100% of proceeds going to the chosen cause.

This year, every note played and every dollar raised will make a difference for families at Emmett’s Place. Join us in supporting this meaningful cause — your generosity brings comfort, connection, and hope to those who need it most.
