The 1890 Society
The 1890 Society is made up of a group of donors who generously contribute at least $150 year to benefit Miami Valley Hospital. It was created by the Foundation in grateful recognition of the individuals and families who contribute to the Foundation's annual campaign.
Unrestricted contributions received through The 1890 Society are allocated for patient programs and services by the Foundation's board of trustees. These donor-funded programs would not exist at MVH without charitable contributions.
The Mueller Society
The Mueller Society is an annual employee-giving campaign to benefit patients, employees, and volunteers at Miami Valley Hospital and its affiliated organizations. Since its inception in 1990, the campaign has raised more than $1.5 million to benefit employees and their families.
The Chairman’s Circle honors a remarkable group of philanthropists who have made an extraordinary commitment to Miami Valley Hospital. There are seven different levels of recognition beginning with the lifetime giving of $50,000.
Through their work in the community on behalf of the hospital, and with their financial contributions, it is no exaggeration to say that members of the Chairman’s Circle have improved the lives of thousands of patients over the years.
The Valley Legacy
The Valley Legacy provides recognition for donors who have notified the Foundation that they have included Miami Valley Hospital in their estate plans. Gifts made through a will, trust, gift annuity, insurance, or through the establishment of an endowment are recognized. Members are listed in alphabetical order on gold-filled, 4 x 1.5-inch etched glass name plates. Names will be added as they become known to the Foundation.
The glass title plate of the Valley Legacy is etched with a quote by Robinson Jeffers: “Lend me the stone strength of the past and I will lend you the wings of the future for I have them.” These words express the belief that the advances of tomorrow are built on the foundation we provide today. What better way to build that foundation & ;mdash; to ensure the “wings of the future” — than to include Miami Valley Hospital through your will or trust?
Adding your name to the Valley Legacy wall is a thoughtful way of recognizing the value that Miami Valley Hospital adds to our lives and to our community. If you have already included Miami Valley Hospital Foundation in your will, please let us know so that we may include your name as a member of the Valley Legacy.
Memorial and Recognition Gifts
A memorial gift to the MVH Foundation is a treasured way to express sympathy and encouragement when someone you care about experiences the loss of a friend or family member. The names of deceased honorees who receive more than $500 in memorial gifts will be placed on a plaque in the Interfaith Chapel at MVH.
Similarly, a recognition gift to the Foundation is a great way to congratulate or thank friends and colleagues for a job well done. As each gift is received the Foundation promptly sends a letter acknowledging your special tribute.
