Throughout October, Enjoy a Panera Bread Pink Ribbon Bagel in Support of Programs for MVH Breast Cancer Patients!

Again this year, Panera Bread locations in the Dayton area have selected the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation and Pink Ribbon Girls as the beneficiaries of their Pink Ribbon Bagel sales for Breast Cancer Awareness during October. A portion of the proceeds from all Pink Ribbon Bagel sales will be donated to each organization.

At Miami Valley Hospital, proceeds fund the Help Her Fight program which provides screenings, diagnostic testing and education for cancer and cancer-related conditions for uninsured and underinsured women. Since 2015, more than 227 women have received services, including five women who were newly diagnosed with cancer. Services include mammograms, well-women visits, ultrasounds and additional testing to help with further diagnosis. These patients would not have been able to receive their care without the support provided through Help Her Fight.

Proceeds will also benefit Integrative Therapy programs including specialized exercises, yoga, massage, a snack cart and therapeutic art, specifically designed for cancer patients. Classes are taught by certified instructors who customize the programs to meet patients’ individual needs and abilities. These programs are only available thanks to funding from donors through the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation.
