Going Beyond Expectations — Our Margin of Excellence
Since the founding of Miami Valley Hospital in 1890, philanthropy has always played a critical role in its success. Throughout the hospital’s first fifty years, every building project or significant medical advancement was made possible by contributions from the public.
In 1983, the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation was established as a separate, non-profit 501(c)3 organization to raise funds and awareness for patient programs and services that are beyond the scope of the hospital’s budget through annual mailings, grant applications, endowments, maintenance of gift funds and exciting events.
While the medical staff, employees and nearly 1,000 volunteers provide outstanding clinical care, the Foundation raises funds to enhance the quality of life for patients and families.
This is symbolized by the phrase ‘the Margin of Excellence’ — going beyond high quality care to provide greater comfort, patient education materials and to create or enhance hospital programs serving the greater community.
To cultivate the community's support, assisting the hospital in providing superior quality of care and comfort for all.
