Rick and his siblings started the event to honor the battle courageously waged against the disease by their parents, Nancy and Dick Clemens. What began in 2003 with only a dozen riders is now an annual event, that has seen hundreds of cyclists raise nearly $63,000 for cancer programs at MVH.

“We are thrilled to be working with Miami Valley South, and the MVH Foundation,” Rick said. “Thanks to their support and enthusiasm, I now see this event going farther than we ever could have envisioned in Honoring Your Hero.”

Since its inception, the event has benefited over 14,000 people through various cancer screening events, diagnostic testing, education and awareness initiatives. Congratulations and thanks to the Clemens family for choosing MVH as the recipient of proceeds from the ride.
