Mueller Society Beneficiary Programs – 2010
Based on nominations submitted by employees, the Mueller Society Employee Council has selected the following programs and funds as beneficiaries of this year’s campaign in addition to the Area of Greatest Need:
Department Grants Program
A committee made up of a cross section of employees awards grants up to $2,000 each for proposals submitted by fellow employees. Proposals should enhance the quality of patient care and/or improve the working conditions for employees and volunteers.
Employee Catastrophic Emergency Relief Fund
This fund offers financial assistance to employees who experience a sudden personal emergency or catastrophic event. (Certain restrictions and limitations apply for funding.)
Mueller Youth Scholarship Fund
Again this year, $500 scholarships will be available for dependent children of employees pursuing education after high school. Scholarships are awarded through an application and blind selection process.
Rubicon Garden Employee Patio
Contributions to this fund will go toward an employee area to be constructed outside Rubicon Cafeteria. The area will include tables and landscaping to create a relaxing, private area to enjoy lunch or a quiet break in the day. All employees donating to the patio fund will be acknowledged on a distinctive plaque to be placed in the finished patio area.
